Circle A Home For Horses

Circle A Home for Horses, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated  to improving the lives of at-risk children and rescued equines through  paired bonding, learning, and fellowship. We are a fully functioning  equine rescue, saving horses from situations of slaughter/abuse/inhumane  treatment. After transporting these horses to our rescue located in the  heart of Pungo, Virginia, our incredible team of dedicated volunteers and staff begin the healing of body, mind, and soul of these deserving animals. They work  tirelessly alongside our equine veterinarians, farrier and equine  dentist to rehabilitate these horses to a healthy state. Some of our horses find forever-homes with adoptive families and others go to work and pay-it-forward for our community’s youth.

In  our Hampton Roads community, we partner with several organizations (such as The Barry Robinson Center) who provide treatment for emotionally challenged, at-risk youth. Through our outreach programs, we are able to bring these children to our farm for direct interaction and emotional connections with rescue horses that have demonstrated the proper qualifications for the program. A symbiotic relationship of healing is formed and experiences are created that these children might not otherwise be afforded.
